All candidates must be passionate about design, self-motivated and posses a positive attitude, the desire to work in a strong team environment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be full of charisma!
Each Intern should be familiar with AutoCAD, a basic knowledge of Excel, an understanding of Photoshop is a plus, and be highly creative.

Project Designer Betsy Becher
January 2007
Mitsch Design is thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest project designer, Betsy Becher. Betsy graduated from Indiana University in May of 2005 with a degree in Interior Design. After graduation, she gained valuable design experience working in a well known showroom at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. She recently moved back to her hometown of Indianapolis to further her design career with Mitsch Design. Betsy describes her design style as fairly contemporary and minimalist and says she tends to be drawn to objects or patterns with a highly graphic quality. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors or relaxing with friends and family. Betsy’s charismatic personality and fresh design style are the perfect addition to the family at Mitsch Design.

Business Development and Marketing Manager

Gemma Mitsch was hired at Mitsch Design in January to head up the sales and marketing department. She attended both Arizona State University and Florida State University, graduating from FSU with a degree in Art History and a minor in Public Relations. She recently moved back to Indiana to forward her career in the role of Business Development at Mitsch Design. By using her skills in business and compelling personality, she is currently working on re-branding of the company, which we are all very excited about unveiling in the near future. When she is not working, Gemma loves to paint.

At this years IDEA Awards, Mitsch design took home a Best Idea Award for the inovative design of Purdue University's Dauch Alumni Center in West Lafayette, Indiana.
The Spurgeon Hall of Spirit on the first floor serves as the center's main entery-way, reception hall and as a museum for art, photographs and memorabilia telling the story of Purdue's history and achievements.

The newly renovated and expanded Indianapolis Museum of Art opened in early 2005 to rave reviews. Mitsch Design designed the interiors to make the museum more accessible and welcoming to the community.

INDIANAPOLIS – We are pleased to announce that Mitsch Design President and Owner Jeryl Mitsch was recently elected to the National Association of Women Business Owners, NAWBO, Indianapolis Chapter Board.
NAWBO is an organization focused on women business owners from all industries and diversities. It is meant to support and inspire it’s members and further the cause of women business owners and the unique challenges they may face in the world today.

Project Designer Stephanie Inabnit

Stephanie Inabnit comes to Mitsch Design from Ball State University with a BA in Interior Design and a minor in Marketing. Stephanie brings a vintage, yet contemporary design style to the firm, and stands apart with her ability to mix different styles and techniques. Her new and innovative ideas have made her an integral part of Mitsch Design and we are thrilled to have her on our team. Stephanie lives in Plainfield with her fiancé and dog, Bishop. Stephanie loves to travel and wants to visit Italy, Greece and Spain someday. In her spare time, she is busy planning for her wedding in October 2007 and is looking forward to traveling to Las Vegas and LA for her honeymoon.

Alexis Bowden joins Mitsch Design as a Project Designer. A graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Interior Design, Alexis has jumped right in to our design process with energy and a positive attitude. She has quickly become an integral part of the culture and creativity of the firm. When not designing her next great space, Alexis spends time with her Bengal cat Kimoni and is busy planning her wedding for June 2007.

St. Louis, MO - Construction of the 9,000 sq. ft. Ruth's Chris SteakHouse is complete and the grand opening weekend was peeked with excitement and sucess!
Mitsch Design was instrumental in bringing to life this sophisticated new 200 seat restaurant with their lush, chic and inviting design.

Stephanie E. Grove, Project Designer, Mitsch Design recently passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification exam and received the designation of Licensed Interior Designer. A Washington, D.C. native, Stephanie is a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, IN and has been with Mitsch Design for two years.

We are pleased to announce that Mitsch Design was recently recertified by the City of Indianapolis Division of Equal Opportunity as a Disadvantaged / Women Business Enterprise ((d)WBE) design firm. Certified design firms are eligible for contracts from state, local or federal government agencies and corporations where public monies are used. Having acquired this status, Mitsch Design looks forward to continuing to diversify its clientele and providing creative design to another new market.

16 Years of Design Celebration

Mitsch Design raised a glass to 16 years of design with a festive open house held at their suite. The event was well attended and guests were invited to meander through the space while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeurves. A video tribute to the past 16 years, live music by Ken Aull of Mayer Fabrics and a streaming client list added the finishing touches to a truly wonderful party. The evening wrapped up with drawings for Ruth's Chris SteakHouse and Puck's Restaurant gift certificates. Here's to the next 16 years!
